He attempts to blur the boundaries between high and low art. He appropriates popular themes from mass media and pop culture, then turns them into thirty-foot sculptures, "Superflat" paintings, or marketable commercial goods such as figurines or phone caddies.<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp1.blogger.com/_EhtbPwIlA6I/R_fWcBZQPFI/AAAAAAAAARk/BgvHJ9Ir1vg/s320/flower+ball.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5185849272839453778" />

Murakami attended the Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music, initially studying more traditionalist Japanese art. He pursued a doctorate in Nihonga, a mixture of Western and Eastern styles dating back to the late 19th century. However, due to the mass popularity of anime and manga, Japanese styles of animation and comic graphic stories, Murakami became disillusioned with Nihonga, and became fixated on otaku culture, which he felt was more representative of modern day Japanese life.
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp3.blogger.com/_EhtbPwIlA6I/R_fXRhZQPGI/AAAAAAAAARs/yLEnv7kPH78/s320/kaikaikik+news.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5185850191962455138" />
This resulted in Superflat, the style that Murakami is credited with starting. It developed from Poku, (Pop + otaku). Murakami has written that he aims to represent Poku culture because he expects that animation and otaku might create a new culture. This new culture being a rejuvenation of the contemporary Japanese art scene. This is what it is all about to Murakami; he has expressed in several interviews in the last five or six years the frustration that his art has risen from.
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp0.blogger.com/_EhtbPwIlA6I/R_fXwxZQPHI/AAAAAAAAAR0/O2OLB-003Ig/s320/po%2Bku+surrealisno.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5185850728833367154" />
It is a frustration rooted in the lack of a reliable and sustainable art market in post-war Japan, and the general view of Japanese art in and outside the country as having a low art status. He is quoted as saying that the market is nothing but "a shallow appropriation of Western trends".
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp1.blogger.com/_EhtbPwIlA6I/R_fYBBZQPII/AAAAAAAAAR8/c97W_zMCca8/s320/the+Double+Helix+Reversal.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5185851008006241410" />

His first reaction was to make art in non-fine arts media, but decided instead to focus on the market sustainability of art and promote himself first overseas. This marks the birth of KaiKai Kiki, LLC.
Artwork
<img style="display:block; Natal, a city with pleasant and nice citizens is the piece of earth with the purest air of America’s continent, and the second of the World, according to NASA. Besides that, recently it has been given to Natal, by the IPEA (Applied Economics Research Institute), the status of “The safest capital of Brazil” !! As if those thing wasn’t enough, here is located the second biggest urban forest park of the country, the “Parque das Dunas”.

Ponta Negra

Out of the beaches in Natal, without a doubt the best choice is Ponta Negra. Gifted with sun all year long, with its pleasant and suitable to bath sea, and a fascinating sunset, here is the place where is located the “Morro do Careca” icon of the city. Ponta Negra has the advantage of being at the best location inside the city, surrounded by everything you may need to fully enjoy your holiday. In fact, I’ve been feeling positively horrendous. My hands ache, my eyes sting, and overall, I just feel awful. This reminds me of the posts I made about bloggers’ health problems and how you can prevent any of those health problems from happening. Yet here I am, sick. Just goes to show that you can’t be in control of any kind of situation 100%. Ever heard that adage, “You are what you eat”? Leading our sedentary lives as bloggers, getting to eat what we want and go on for days, months, and even years without exercise, who knows what’ll happen to us if we’re not careful of what we put in our mouths? Here are some of the food a blogger should consider incorporating into the daily meal to stay healthy:

1. Green leafy veggies.

Cliched, I know. You’ve probably been reminded of this by your mother, wife, husband, friends, even your children, numerous times in your lives. If you haven’t done so yet, you should. After all, greens are low in fats and calories and high in everything that matters — fiber, protein, vitamins, calcium, iron, and vitamins.

2. Yellow Vegetables (i.e., carrots, pumpkin, etc.)

After green, now yellow? Well, yes. Yellow vegetables would benefit us greatly. Yellow or orange veggies usually contain large amounts of vitamin A which is good for eyesight. They also contain carotenoids, pigments which give them color, which are said to help prevent certain cancers.

3. Nuts

According to studies, those who regularly consume nuts have a lower risk of heart disease. It is also said to help lower cholesterol levels. Provided, of course, that your intake is in moderation. If you eat too much, you might suffer from heightened euric acid. Of course, you do know that it’s a myth that people say nuts can help you become smarter, right?

4. Glucose

I say glucose because it’s in many different foods. Glucose helps boost people’s cognitive performance, allowing them to perform better mentally. In short, glucose if your brain fuel. Before you jump around because you thought you can eat chocolates, perhaps you should know that fats stall the energizing effects of glucose in your brain. Very small quantities of BLACK chocolate are advisable. By small quantity, we mean a serving as small as a match box per day.

5. Lean meat and/or chicken or turkey breasts.

Just like everyone else, we need protein to strengthen our muscles. We don’t want out muscles to go into atrophy because we don’t use them much. Avoid any meat which has lots of fat content. Get lean meat or even better, chicken or turkey breasts; the part of poultry that’s low in calories and high in protein.

6. Citrus Fruits

Citrus fruits, of course, boast a whole range of vitamins and minerals. Get your dose of vitamin C as protection against common colds and cough by eating oranges, lemons, and other fruits, not just citruses.

7. Other fruits such as bananas.

Bananas contain both potassium and vitamin B. Potassium helps prevent cases of cramps dues to its positive charge. Vitamin B, on the other hand, helps replenish damaged nerves of the hand since we type all day long, every day. Other fruits contain other vitamins and minerals to help you out, too.

8. Vegetable oils and whole wheat.

Vegetable oils and whole wheat contain vitamin E which renews dead cells in your body. This helps your body regenerate so you won’t grow old precociously! Whole wheat also contains fibers which are good for digestion.

9. Fish

Fish don’t have fats, are high in protein and iron, and also, omega 3 fatty acids. Omega 3 fatty acids help prevent heart disease. Eggs also contain omega 3 acids, although eating more than 2 eggs a day is not advisable due to the high-concentration of calories on its yolk.

Desperate Curiosity

NASA likely to delay launch of Shuttle Atlantis

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp0.blogger.com/_EhtbPwIlA6I/R67yJkuuDXI/AAAAAAAAAH4/yhJzVpRWbaQ/s320/fog.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5165332068932914546" />
NASA pressed ahead with Thursday's planned launch of shuttle Atlantis, even though bad weather threatened to delay the mission to add another science lab to the international space station. Forecasters said there was a 70 percent chance that rain, clouds and possibly even a severe thunderstorm would keep Atlantis on the pad for yet another day. The space shuttle is already two months late in delivering the European lab, Columbus, to the space station
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp3.blogger.com/_EhtbPwIlA6I/R67yzUuuDYI/AAAAAAAAAIA/Xwe5wPPyZ2U/s320/fog2.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5165332786192452994" />
Faulty fuel gauges grounded Atlantis in December. Engineers worked round the clock and through the holidays to fix the problem, which turned out to be a bad connector in the external fuel tank. Although confident of the repair, NASA officials acknowledged they would be monitoring Atlantis' fuel gauges with more interest than usual, once fueling got under way.
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp2.blogger.com/_EhtbPwIlA6I/R67zVEuuDZI/AAAAAAAAAII/HNNikWMjT_o/s320/fog4.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5165333366013037970" />
NASA said at least three of the four fuel gauges must work properly once Atlantis' tank is filled in order for the launch to proceed. The gauges are part of a critical safety system to help ensure that the main engines do not run on an unexpectedly empty tank during the 8 1/2-minute climb to orbit. They have performed erratically during countdowns for nearly three years and postponed several launches. Columbus - a US$2 billion (EUR 1.4 billion) high-tech laboratory is the European Space Agency's primary contribution to the space station. In the making for 23 years, the lab has endured station redesigns and slowdowns, as well as a number of shuttle postponements and two shuttle accidents.

Google Adsense Tips, Tricks, and Secrets Build an Empire?

Google Adsense Tips, Tricks, and Secrets Build an Empire?

When you’re deciding to become a website publisher you will fall into one of two broad categories:

* Publish 100 websites that each earn $1 a day profit
* Publish 1 website that earns $100 a day profit

The reality of it is, most people end up somewhere in between. Having 100 websites leaves you with maintenance, management and content issues. Having one website leaves you open to all sort of fluctuations (search engines algorithm’s, market trends, etc). You can adapt your plan on the way, but you’ll have an easier time if you start out going in the direction of where you want to end up.
General or Niche

You can build your website around general topics or niche ones. Generally speaking niche websites work better with adsense. First off the ad targeting is much better. Secondly as you have a narrow focus your writing naturally becomes more expert in nature. Hopefully this makes you more authority in your field.

If this is your first try at building an adsense website, make it about something you enjoy. It will make the process much easier and less painful to accomplish. You should however make sure that your topic has enough of an ad inventory and the payout is at a level you are comfortable with. You may love medieval folk dancing, but the pool of advertisers for that subject is very small (in fact it’s currently zero).

Once you’ve gotten the hang of how Adsense works on a website, you are going to want to dabble in some high paying keywords, you may even be tempted to buy a high paying keyword list. This does come with some dangers. First off the level of fraud is much higher on the big money terms. Secondly there is a distortion of the supply and demand relationship for these terms. Everyone wants ads on their website that make $35 or more a click, however the number of advertisers who are willing to pay that much is pretty limited. Additionally the competition for that traffic is going to be stiff. So, don’t try to run with the big dogs if you can’t keep up. If you have to ask if you’re a big dog, then chances are, you’re not. I have used a high dollar keywords report from cashkeywords.com and was pleased with my results (see cash keywords free offer recap).
New Sites, Files and Maintenance

When you’re building a new site don’t put adsense on it until it’s finished. In fact I’d go even farther and say don’t put adsense on it until you have built inbound links and started getting traffic. If you put up a website with “lorem ipsum” dummy or placeholder text, your adsense ads will almost certainly be off topic. This is often true for new files on existing websites, especially if the topic is new or different. It may take days or weeks for google’s media bot to come back to your page and get the ads properly targeted. TIP: If you start getting lots of traffic from a variety of IP’s you will speed this process up dramatically.

I like to build my sites using include files. I put the header, footer and navigation in common files. It makes it much easier to maintain and manage. I also like to put my adsense code in include files. If I want/need to change my adsense code, it’s only one file I have to work with. TIP: I also use programming to turn the adsense on or off. I can change one global variable to true or false and my adsense ads will appear or disappear.
Managing URL’s and channels

Adsense channels is one area where it’s really easy to go overboard with stats. You can set up URL channels to compare how one website is doing to another. You can also set up sub channels for each URL. If you wanted to you do something channels like this:

* domain1.com - 728 banner
* domain1.com - 336 block
* domain1.com - text link
* domain2.com - 728 banner
* domain2.com - image banner
* domain2.com - 336 block
* domain3.com - 300 block

While this is great for testing and knowing who clicks where and why, it makes your reporting a little wonky. Your total number will always be correct but when you look at your reports with a channel break down things will get displayed multiple times and not add up to correct total. Makes things pretty confusing, so decide if you really need/want that level of reporting detail. TIP: At the very least you want to know what URL is generating the income so be sure to enter distinct URL channels.
Site Design and Integration

Once you know you are going to put adsense on your website you’re going to have to consider where to put it. If this is new site it’s easier, if it’s an existing site it’s more difficult. While there are some people who will be able to do it, in most cases I’d say if you just slap the adsense code in, you’ll end up with a frankensite monster (props to Tedster of WMW for the buzzword). While every website is different, Google has published some heat maps showing the optimal locations. No surprise that the best spots are middle of the page and left hand side. Now I’ve done really well by placing it on the right, but you should know why you’re doing it that way before hand, and be prepared to change it if it doesn’t work out.

Google has also has published a list of the highest performing ad sizes:

* 336×280 large rectangle
* 300×250 inline rectangle
* 160×600 wide skyscraper

From the sites that I run, I do really well with the 336 rectangle and 160 skyscraper. My next best performing ad size is the 728 leaderboard, I don’t really use the 300 inline rectangle too often. So really it depends on how well you integrate these into your site. Placement can have a dramatic effect on performance. TIP: When working on a new site or new layout you may want to give each location it’s own channel for a little while until you understand the users behavior.

Another ‘trick’ that can increase your CTR is by blending your adsense into your body copy. For example if your body copy is black, remove the adsense border and make the title, text, and URL black.TIP: Try changing all of your page hyperlinks to a high contrast color (like dark red or a bold blue) then change the adsense title to the same color.

The one area where I’ve found blended ads don’t perform as well is forums, especially ones with a high volume of repeat members. Regular visitors develop banner blindness pretty quickly. One ‘trick’ to keep the ads from being ignored is to randomize the color and even the placement. As with any of the decisions about location, placement and color it’s a trade off. How much do you emphasize the ads without annoying your visitors. Remember it’s better to have a 1% CTR with 500 regular visitors as opposed to a 5% CTR with 50 visitors. TIP: For forums try placing the adsense ads directly above or below the the first forum thread.
Using Images

One of the latest ’secrets’ to make the rounds is using images placed directly above or below an adsense leaderboard. This has been used for a while but came out in a digital point forum thread where a member talked about quadrupling their CTR. Basically you set up the adsense code in a table with four images that line up directly with the ads. Whether or not this is deceptive is fuzzy and very subjective. Obviously four blinking arrows would be ‘enticing people to click’ and be against the adsense TOS. However placing pictures of 4 laptops over laptops ads isn’t, so use your best judgment here and look at it from the advertiser or Google’s perspective. If you have a question as to your implementation being ‘over the line’ write to adsense and ask them to take a look.

As far as using the images, I’ve done it and can tell you it definitely works. You get the best results when the images ‘complete the story the ads are telling’. For example if you have ads about apple pies, use pictures of freshly baked apple pies, instead of granny smith, Macintosh, pink lady, and braeburn apples. TIP: Don’t limit yourself to using images only on that size ad unit, it works just as well with the other sizes, like the 336 rectangle.

Added:
I got a little criticizm for this and rightly so, as I wasn’t specific as I could have been. Do not use very identifiable brand name or products for your images. Use generic non-specific stock images whenever possible and appropriate.
Multiple Ad Units

Another way to increase ad revenue is to use multiple ad units. According to Google’s TOS you are allowed to post up to three ad units per page. Similar to standard search results the highest paying ad units will be served first and the lowest being served last. If there is enough of an ad inventory, place all three ad units. However you should pay attention to the payouts. Current assumption is you get 60% of the revenue (on a $0.05 click you get $0.03). So if a click from the third ad unit is only paying between 3 to 5 cents you may want to omit it from your page. This is one are where giving your ad units channels does have value. If one ad unit is getting a higher percentage of click throughs you’ll want to make sure the highest paying ads are being served there. TIP:Use CSS positioning to get your highest paying ads serving in the location with the highest CTR.
Adsense in RSS

With the growth of blogs and RSS feeds you’re starting to see adsense included in the feeds now. IMHO this doesn’t work, and here’s why:

* You only get to place one ad unit.
* You have no control over finding the ’sweet spot’ for the ad unit.
* The ads are usually poorly targeted (this is getting better).
* People develop ‘banner blindness’.

I know people like being able to read full postings in their feed reader, and there are at least a dozen other reasons for full posts from pleasing your users to mobile offline computing, all of which are completely valid. However if your website depends on generating adsense revenue to survive, then bring them to the site and show them the ads there.
Affiliate Sites

Placing Adsense on affiliate sites is tricky. Are you giving up a $10, $20, or $30 sale for a $1 click? This is something you have to test on your own to figure out. If you aren’t converting now it’s definitely worth a try. I like to use adsense on my article pages. For example let’s say you had an affiliate website where you sold shoes. You’re going to need some related articles to ‘flesh out’ the site. Things like ‘getting a shoe shine’ or ‘finding a shoe repair shop’ these are excellent spots for adsense. While you won’t get rich, they will usually provide a small steady income and cover things like hosting costs.TIP: If you find you have pages getting more than 50 clicks per month add more pages about this topic, and link the pages together. Mine you logs for the search terms used.
PPC Arbitrage

This is a dicey subject so I’m going to steer clear of precise examples. Basically you bid on low volume uber niche terms at a very low cost. You set up landing page that contains high payout ads for the related general topic. You are looking for terms with a large gap between the price you are bidding on adwords and the price you are getting on Adsense. If you pay $0.10 a click and get $1.00 a click you make $0.90 each click. To get your adsense ad approved you will need to ‘add some value’ along the way. You can make a killing or get taken to the cleaners with this one, so make sure you know what you are doing before you try it.

Have any other adsense tips, tricks or secrets? Although, good instincts and speculation skills are invaluable to any trader, there are also other, more scientific factors that traders use to tell whether they will buy or sell a certain currency. These factors are very important aspects of trading on the market and are known as fundamental and technical analyses. A trader may utilize both technical and fundamental analyses before making any forex trades.

The Importance of Fundamental Analysis

These factors include economic and political events (i.e. elections, wars) that occur worldwide. Fundamentals include monetary and fiscal policy, government reports such as GDP, CPI, PPI, and measures such as the unemployment rate. A trader that bases his or her market decisions in response to these releases and events is using fundamental analysis. The value of a currency in the Forex market is essentially an indication of the state of one nation's economy in comparison to another nation's.

A nation's political condition, along with its inflation and interest rates, impact the price of the nation's currency. Traders that use fundamental analysis can speculate on currency price movements by paying attention to the world news, economic reports, and indicators issued by the government. By interpreting that data, traders can make better decisions on the market. It is important to note that it is the outlook of an event that impacts the Forex market, rather than the actual event itself. If the report or news matches expectations it should have already been priced in to the present market price. If a report or news item is unexpected, or is different from the anticipated results, then there will be a reaction by the currency markets to "price in" this new information. We explore fundamental analysis in greater detail in Lesson 6.

The Importance of Technical Analysis

Traders have a second tool to use in trading. Technical analysis, which has become extremely popular since its inception two decades ago, consists of using charts, trend lines, support and resistance levels, technical indicators and identifying patterns to study the market's behavior. Traders use these technical factors to identify buying and selling opportunities. Over long historical periods, currency behavior has produced trends and patterns that are identifiable. We explore the basics of technical analysis in

Forex Basics

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp1.blogger.com/_EhtbPwIlA6I/R6wwc5-UWsI/AAAAAAAAAHk/cPnHJZhRHnE/s320/time-zones.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5164556145843788482" />
1.2 Operation
The 8 Major Currencies:

Whereas there are thousands of securities on the stock market, on the FOREX market most trading takes place in only a few currencies; the U.S. Dollar ($), European Currency Unit (€), Japanese Yen (¥), British Pound Sterling (£), Swiss Franc (Sf), Canadian Dollar (Can$), and to a lesser extent, the Australian and New Zealand Dollars. These major currencies are most often traded because they represent the countries with esteemed central banks, stable governments, and relatively low inflation rates.

Currencies are also always traded in pairs (i.e. USD/JPY or Dollar/Yen) on a floating exchange rate.

A 24 Hour Market:

The foreign exchange market operates 24 hours a day and has no official openings and closings like the stock market. It moves in response to geopolitical events or press releases from key central bank officials or reports on the economy from government statistical bureaus, among other factors. These fluctuations occur at any point throughout the day. When traders are inactive in one part of the world due to nightfall, there are traders elsewhere who are actively engaging in trades as it is daytime in that location.

The daily session "ends" at 5PM EST, but the market does not actually close. The Forex market only closes on Friday at 4PM for the weekend, and re-opens at 5 PM EST on Sunday. Each day, trading begins in Sydney, Australia, and progresses to the next major financial center (Tokyo, London, New York), as the business hours of that city's time zone begin.

Business Hours of Financial Centers:

Trading volumes are always higher for a region during their business hours as traders at financial institutions are busy filling and placing orders. The most active times, meaning the times of most liquidity and movement in the markets, is the London open (3 AM EST), and the overlap between London/Euro close and New York's open (8-11 AM EST).

The hours below correspond to someone living in the EST time zone.

New York session opens at 8:00 am and ends around 5:00 pm.
Sydney session starts at 5:00 pm and ends around 2:00 am.
Tokyo session begins at 7:00 pm and ends around 4:00 am.
Frankfurt session opens at 2:00 am and ends around 11:00 am.
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp2.blogger.com/_EhtbPwIlA6I/R6wwyJ-UWtI/AAAAAAAAAHs/76S_n0QU7sg/s320/time-table.gif" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5164556510916008658" />
London opens at 3:00 am and ends around 12:00 am.
Below is a figure showing the same business hours for the various regions, also for someone in the EST time zone. In this figure you can see the overlap between the European/London session and the New York session, between 8 am and 11 am EST. The currency markets experience the highest volatility and volume during that overlap, which also coincides with the releases of important US economic releases.

What is Forex?

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp0.blogger.com/_EhtbPwIlA6I/R6wvdp-UWrI/AAAAAAAAAHc/_wrBWFMoiCc/s320/edu-overview.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5164555059217062578" />

FOREX, an acronym for Foreign Exchange, is the largest financial market in the world. With an estimated $1.5 trillion in currencies traded daily, Forex provides income to millions of traders and large banks worldwide. The market is so large in volume that it would take the New York Stock Exchange, with a daily average of under $20 billion, almost three months to reach the amount traded in one day on the Foreign Exchange Market.

Forex, unlike other financial markets, is not tied to an actual stock exchange. Currencies are traded directly through networks of banks and brokers via an electronic network or the telephone. The Foreign Exchange Market is, therefore, also referred to as an "Interbank" or "Over the Counter (OTC)" market.

Purpose

The foreign exchange market is the mechanism by which currencies are valued relative to one another, and exchanged. An individual or institution buys one currency and sells another in a simultaneous transaction. Currency trading always occurs in pairs where one currency is sold for another and is represented in the following notation: EUR/USD or CHF/YEN. The exchange rate is determined through the interaction of market forces dealing with supply and demand.
Traders generate profits, or losses, by speculating whether a currency will rise or fall in value in comparison to another currency. A trader would buy the currency which is anticipated to gain in value, or sell the currency which is anticipated to lose value against another currency. The value of a currency, in the simplest explanation, is a reflection of the condition of that country's economy with respect to other major economies. The Forex market does not rely on any one particular economy. Whether or not an economy is flourishing or falling into a recession, a trader can earn money by either buying or selling the currency. Reactive trading is the buying or selling of currencies in response to economic or political events, while speculative trading is based on a trader anticipating events.

Background

Historically, Forex has been dominated by inter-world investment and commercial banks, money portfolio managers, money brokers, large corporations, and very few private traders. Lately this trend has changed. With the advances in internet technology, plus the industry's unique leveraging options, more and more individual traders are getting involved in the market for the purposes of speculation. While other reasons for participating in the market include facilitating commercial transactions (whether it is an international corporation converting its profits, or hedging against future price drops), speculation for profit has become the most popular motive for Forex trading for both big and small participants.

Coca-Cola to purchase 40 percent stake in Honest Tea

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp0.blogger.com/_EhtbPwIlA6I/R6rTIJ-UWqI/AAAAAAAAAHU/2AXBwlis_CY/s320/tea.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5164172059803409058" />
Coca-Cola Co reported that it made terms with Honest Tea Inc to buy 40 percent stake in this company, the latest step by the world's largest beverage company to expand in faster-growing noncarbonated drinks.

Financial terms of the investment in Honest, which makes bottled ready-to-drink beverages, were not disclosed. Each samba group has 80 minutes to parade through Rio's "Sambadrome," an 85,000-seat venue built for the annual samba "school" competition. The event is taken as seriously as soccer in Latin America's largest nation. The competition winds down Tuesday morning with a parade by the current champion Beija Flor, or "Hummingbird." St. Agatha, a martyr who died in 252 at age 15, is the patron saint of Catania, Sicily, and they hold an exciting festival in her honor. The huge festival lasts for two days and two nights. The 2-day procession, said to be the second largest religous procession in the world, begins February 4. Following a mass at dawn, the statue of St. Agatha that houses her relics is placed on a fercolo, a 40,000 pound silver carriage, that will be pulled up Monte Sangiuliano by 5,000 men. As with most Italian festivals, there is also plenty of eating and drinking. The festival culminates with a huge fireworks display.

Monster vegetables: Mutation of nature?

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp3.blogger.com/_EhtbPwIlA6I/R6ng9J-UWhI/AAAAAAAAAGM/8En2iJ0Ooig/s320/18-100.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5163905789010926098" />
While some examples are just oddly-shaped, others are heralded for their amusing appearance, often representing a body part such as the buttocks.
